Couching a tough topic such as end of life care in something warm, like a patchwork quilt, conveys two things. One, it makes the topic approachable by a non-expert audience. And two, it makes the topic a little more warm, a little softer.
I’m always looking for ways to make tough topics more approachable.
And a quilt, here, just felt right.
